Black Salt Pounded

Originally obtained from natural volcanic mines in Northern India, Black Salt, also known as Kala Namak, gets its infamous colour due to the presence of charcoal. The sulphur content in the salt gives it a distinct smell, and it is a key ingredient in Chaat Masala.
