Bergamot Essential Oil is known as the “Emotional wellbeing Potion” at Meraki Essentials as its refreshing aroma is known to reduce psychological stress response and reduce cortisol levels.
Bergamot oil is cold-pressed from the fresh fruit rind of the Citrus Bergamia plant.
It has a sharp top note that gives a strong citrus impact at first and then giving way to a softer, sweet middle note.
Bergamot Essential Oil is known for its many benefits, but most popularly for its ability to help reduce blood pressure levels in patients with hypertension and antispasmodic properties.
It is also known to soothe digestive discomfort as well as soothing respiratory conditions. Bergamot Essential Oil has a number of beneficial properties that are mentioned below.

Though it is generally non-toxic and non-irritating, bergamot is extremely phototoxic. Do not expose skin to sunlight for 12 hours after application. Repeated use can result in contact sensitization (rotate between different oils). Do not use on children younger than 5 years of age.
The thumb rule to keep in mind for all Essential Oil usage is the dilution should be kept at 3%. Essential Oils are very strong and potent and should be used sparingly. Please maintain caution on usage.
